In the Critical Thinking for Business Analysts training path the participant will be introduced to advanced analytical techniques. The advanced analysis skills learned will give the participant a better understand why the Business Analyst are required to be a liaison for the business as well as have the skills to anticipate needs and opportunities. The Critical Thinking for Business Analysts training path provides a knowledge path that builds on the previous Business Analysis training tiers.The Critical Thinking for Business Analysts program will build upon the Business Analysis foundation classes, and expand your knowledge on the following:

Analytical: There are four courses in this training path to enhance the analytical skills of the Business Analyst and three topics that aid in the understanding of the business.

Critical Thinking: Critical thinking is an important element of all professional fields. The process of critical thinking involves the careful procurement and interpretation of information and uses it to reach a well-justified conclusion. The concepts and principles of critical thinking can be applied to any context or case but only by reflecting upon the nature of that application. Critical thinking forms a system of related, and overlapping, modes of thought. Critical thinking principles are universal.

Enterprise Project Analysis: The collection of pre-project or early project activities. This topic explores the techniques and processes for conducting a high level investigation of the Enterprise. Participants will gain an understanding of strategic planning, conducting a feasibility study to support the strategic plan of business opportunity, performing GAP Analysis, Cost Analysis, creating PESTLE and SWOT analysis, culminating in developing a business case.

Solution Analysis: Analyzing the proposed solution and weighing the validity and viability versus the needs of the Business.

Advanced Analysis: Examines techniques for conducting measurements, impact analysis, benchmarking and cost analysis as used in feasibility studies and within project.

Business: There are three courses in this path that help address enterprise architecture skills for Business Analysts.

Enterprise Architecture: Understanding the strategies and goals behind how organizations are structured, and the relationship between those structures.

Organizational Modeling: A valuable Modeling technique that interfaces with Enterprise Architecture, Business Architecture and Business Process Management. Focus is on how to represent the current “as – is” as well as a future structure.

Leadership: Philosophies and tasks associated with guiding Business Analysts’ teams to excellence.
